'My partner leads a double life' is the heading of Andrew's most recent magazine feature as part of the 'Spitting Image' section in the 26th July 2006 edition of Woman's Own magazine.

Andrew's feature reads as follows:

'Girls run up and start singing'
Annette Watts lives with Andrew Monk, who owns an audio-visual company and bears an uncanny resemblance to Pop Idol's Simon Cowell. The couple, both 45, live in Nottingham with their daughter, Katherine, aged three.

Annette says: 'It can be quite disconcering when I'm walking down the street with Andrew and teenage girls run up to him and start singing.

'I'm slowly getting used to it. Most of the comments have been positive - but I dread the moment when someone has a go at him for being horrible to some wannabe singer.
'We try to have fun with it. We get better service in restaurants these days, maybe because the waiters think they're in for a really big tip!

'Andrew realised that he looked like Simon Cowell about a year ago when he saw a photo of him in our local newspaper. Since then, he's adopted the black top and high-waisted trousers look.
'Recently, Andrew was invited to appear on Channel 4's Richard & Judy, alongside two other Simon Cowell lookalikes.

'Together, they surprised the man himself as he was being interviewed. Then Simon Cowell was asked to choose the best lookalike out of the three of them. And, of course, he went for Andrew.'

Andrew says: 'Annette doesn't like Simon Cowell much - but so far she hasn't taken it out on me!'
